Neighborhood Karma Krew Yogathon a Success in Boone, North Carolina

Neighborhood Karma Krew is a local chapter of the national non-profit Karma Krew, and is based out of Neighborhood Yoga in Boone, NC. As an organization our goal is to link the philosophies of yoga with the needs of our community. Often times the practice of yoga is a deeply introspective endevor, and we believe that many of the insights gained through this journey can be translated into meaningful action beyond the perimeter of the yoga mat. The Yogathon was held for two main purposes: to raise funds to support Neighborhood Karma Krew projects in the 2009 calender year, and to build energy and momentum among the Boone yoga community. With 30 participants we raised over $2600 and nurtured a growing karma yoga community!
