Yoga for Performers - University of Michigan
Posted by: Robert Swedberg, RYT 200
This is the second full year of Yoga for Performers - a class that is now part of the curriculum in the School of Music, Theater and Dance at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. The class is limited to 35, and is made up of singers, instrumentalists and actors. It meets regularly on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9:00, and there is also a faculty and staff class that meets at 7:45 those same days. Both classes are taught by Robert Swedberg - RYT 200, who is also Opera Director at the school. This Saturday, YogaDay USA offered a great opportunity to combine the classes and also open it up to guests. A special "inversions" workshop was also offered for those who wanted to learn and refine shoulder and head stand.
